What is a Vape Atomizer and How Do They Work?

Back in 2014, the CDC estimated that about 9 million people have started vaping.

If you're one of those people that's ready to try vaping, you might be curious about where to start. One of the first things you'll need is a vaping atomizer.

Here, we will discuss the basic anatomy of a vaping atomizer and different kinds of atomizers, so you can make the best decision.

What is An Atomizer?

A vaping atomizer is a device that warms up oil and creates a vaper suitable for inhaling. To be more specific, the atomizer itself is the heating device. It sources its power from a battery.

To understand how an atomizer works, let's take a peek inside.

An atomizer is a part of a vaping pen. The electronic coils or e-coils in the atomizer use the battery to generate heat that warms up the liquid. The liquid can reach up to 500 degrees.

E-liquid is stored in the cartridge separated from the e-coils. The wick is made of cotton and comes in contact with the liquid in the cartridge and is soaked. Then, it travels to the e-coils where it becomes heated and a turns into a vapor.

Once the liquid is vaporized, you inhale it through the mouthpiece.

Types of Vaping Atomizers

There are different types of vaping atomizers you can use and several available to choose from.

Disposable Atomizers

If you're just starting out, a disposable vaping atomizer might be the best choice. A disposable vaporizer lets you get the feel for what vaporizing is like before you jump in with both feet, inexpensively. Disposable atomizers need to be replaced when it's no longer easy to inhale.

Replaceable Atomizers

Unlike the disposable atomizer, the replaceable atomizers have e-coils that need to be replaced when they are completely used. Simply unscrew the e-coil and put a new one in its place. Depending on how often or how much you vape, a replacement likely to differ from person to person.

They are more expensive than disposable automizers, but replaceable atomizers have different features that the disposable ones lack. The flavor of the e-juice is more prominent in a replaceable atomizer. These atomizers are the most used among vapers today.

Rebuildable Atomizers

If you're looking for a challenge or want to enhance your vaping, then a rebuildable atomizer might be what you're looking for.

Rebuildable atomizers are all about customization. You can build your own coils, choose your wick, and piece it together at your desired level. Though parts initially cost more, the investment is worth it if you're a heavy vaper, or if you're picky about your vaping practice.

Rebuildable vapers are perfect for those who enjoy the intricacies of vaping, however, building your own atomizer is recommended for vapers with experience.
