To The Max Strawberry Kiwi Eliquid Review

Ahhh, strawberries and kiwi. One of the greatest fruit combinations known to mankind! And now this delicious fruit combo has been brought to life in e-liquid form, thanks to one of my favorite brands To The Max! To The Max was one of the very first fruit vape juices I tried, and I’ve been in love with their fruit flavored e-liquids ever since. From pure fruits like Apple eJuice to crisp menthols like Mango Iced eJuice, this e-liquid lineup is one you won’t want to miss out on. If you’re a fan of sunkissed strawberries and tangy kiwis, you’ll absolutely love the refreshing burst of flavor from this all-day vape juice!

THE UNBOXING

To The Max has gone through a bit of rebranding over the years. I personally loved their original designs of brightly colored fruit gushing with fresh flavor. But many companies had to change their branding in order to comply with federal regulations. Many companies were ripping off of candy brands (Sour Patch Kids, Airheads, Skittles, etc.) and the packaging was either a direct copyright infringement or was made too appealing for underage users. Away went the bright colors and the familiar candy packaging; on to the use of plain packaging and muted colors.

There’s nothing special about the packing for Strawberry Kiwi by To The Max. It’s a plain white box that houses two 60mL bottles. Green lettering indicates the kiwi and apple flavoring within, as well as a 3mg on the top right corner to indicate the nicotine level. A large black label with white lettering proclaims that this product contains nicotine and that nicotine is an addictive chemical. The back of the box is identical to the front, while the left side of the box contains a warning label and an ingredients list. The label on the e-liquid bottle was nearly identical as on the information listed on the box, with a few minor additions like where the e-liquid was made as well and that this ejuice is only allowed to be sold within the U.S.

I did like that To The Max put the VG/PG ratio of 70/30 right on the box, since many e-liquid companies make you hunt for it on their website. I was also intrigued to note that To The Max eJuice uses food flavorings in their products. Strawberry and kiwi are very powerful flavors; I was curious to see how that translated into vape juice.

I would have liked to see more vibrancy in the packaging, as the bland white and lime green made the ejuice seem dull and uninteresting. If I had simply judged from the exterior, I would have found nothing remarkable about this vape juice. My previous dealings with this brand and the phenomenal pricing helped me choose this particular flavor, but I can’t say the logo, packaging, or design did anything for me. I know you're not supposed to judge a vape juice from the packaging, but sometimes it’s impossible. Everyone is different, but I like packaging to be aesthetically pleasing in order for me to be interested. Again, not a factor that affects the quality or flavor of the product, but more of a personal dissatisfaction with the brand design. 

THE FILL UP

The bottle was clear and the space between the edges of the label was spacious enough to allow you to see how much e-liquid is left. The consistency of the e-liquid was very similar to olive oil, in both viscosity and color. The liquid sloshed around a tad sluggishly (just like olive oil would) and the color was a vibrant yellow due to the nicotine content. If you prefer 0mg or 6mg of nicotine, the color would undoubtedly be lighter or darker.

I wasn’t able to find an expiration date on the packaging or the bottle, but most vapers go through ejuice so quickly that expiry dates don’t usually mean much. While it is marketed as 120mL, the box actually comes with two 60mL bottles that are both child-proofed, making it difficult to open unless you press down and twist to unscrew. The slender drip tip made it quick and easy to fill up, and the scent of the e-liquid was strong even from the first initial squeeze! A pure and sweet apple and kiwi scent wafted into my nostrils from just the initial fillup, making me even more impatient to sample the fruity e-juice. One thing I found odd about this ejuice is while it looked darker in the bottle, it appeared slightly clearer in my tank. I’m not exactly sure why. It was also a slightly thicker consistency once in the tank, perhaps due to the heat of the coil. It gave me no cause for concern on burning my coils, as the light colored vape juice and the fact that it was a fruit vape juice. And now, it’s time for the most important part of the review: how does it taste?

THE TASTE TEST

All of To The Max’s e-liquids have the flavor description as the e-liquid name. This makes it extremely easy to remember what flavor you’re vaping. Strawberry Kiwi is the name of this e-liquid and based on the scent alone, I knew this would be a good one. My initial reaction when vaping this flavor for the first time was “WOW!” I tasted a wonderfully sweet strawberry, very similar to those hard strawberry candies with the chewy center. The exhale had a bit of a tanginess due to the kiwi, but the strawberry was definitely the initial flavor.

The scent of the clouds was delightful as well, and I had multiple people ask me what I was vaping because it smelled THAT good. The flavor was pure and clean, with no dry mouth or weird aftertaste. I filled up my tank twice more with this flavor, which is rare for me because I tire of e-liquid flavors quickly. I was extremely pleased with the smoothness of the flavor. Strawberry flavors can be a hit or a miss, either being too light and airy or too artificial and heavy in terms of taste. This one, however, was a true joy to vape. I’m not even that big on strawberry flavors and I highly enjoyed this combination of berry and kiwi.

There were times that I tasted the kiwi more than the strawberry, but for the most part, I would classify this as a strawberry flavored e-liquid. I noticed that the kept its potency for multiple puffs and left a nice aftertaste on my taste buds for several seconds after I’d finished the exhale. Once again, I can praise the good people at Flawless for creating a flavorful e-liquid that kept me happy with each puff. The nicotine wasn’t overpowering and didn’t leave my throat sore and raw, in spite of the dark yellow color.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I was extremely satisfied with this particular e-liquid, as I usually am with any flavor from To The Max. I rate it a 9 out of 10, only because I had a hard time finding the kiwi flavor consistently. But in terms of repeated fill-ups, flavor, cloud scent, price, and all-day use, Strawberry Kiwi by To The Max is a must-have in your vape juice collection.
