Passionfruit Rasberry Yuzu by Pachamama eJuice Review

We’re back at it again, this time with another unique and mysterious e-liquid review from Pachamama! This particular e-liquid is called Passionfruit Raspberry Yuzu. It’s a unique and mysterious review because the Yuzu fruit “cannot legally be imported into the US, making it nearly impossible to find it. The yuzu fruit supposedly carried diseases that would wipe out American grozes, although it’s rumored to be grown in California and can be found on certain websites as a whole fruit and as a pre-made sauce. But we didn’t come here to talk about yuzu fruits (although it’s one of the three tasty flavors in this e-liquid)...we came here to review an e-juice! And from the three fruits listed, this looks like it’s gonna have one hell of a flavor! Let’s dive right into the unboxing to see what Pachamama gave us!

THE UNBOXING

The Pachamama brand is actually a sub brand of Charlie’s Chalk Dust brand, a wide reaching lineup of e-juices that touch nearly every possibility of the vape world. The Passionfruit Raspberry Yuzu is the second of eight e-liquids that I’ve tried from the Pachamama brand. I reviewed the Huckleberry Pear Acai e-liquid a few days ago and was absolutely delighted with the pure and authentic flavor the vape juice had. I’m very much hoping that PRY is the same, but we’ll get to that shortly.

The 60mL bottle is completely clear and comes in a thin cardboard box that is delightfully designed. The front of the box and parts of the side are colored in a dark teal shade that is immediately calming to look at. The brand name and e-liquid name are clearly displayed on the front and right of the box, along with the company website and the VG/PG ratio (80/20). Listed right below the e-liquid name was the bottle size (60mL) and the nicotine content (3mg). There was a bold warning on the bottom of the box’s face that proclaimed how this product contains nicotine and that nicotine is an addictive chemical. The back of the box showed manufacturing information, sale restrictions (only in the US), ingredient list, and storage warnings.

The actual label on the bottle had all of the same information, save for a few more warnings like what to do if you come in contact with the e-liquid, who should use it, and quality assurance. I loved that the expiration date was stamped clearly below the VG/PG ratio on the right side of the label, as some companies prefer to put that on the bottom of the bottle or don’t include it at all. The packaging on both the box and bottle was extremely professional, pleasant to look at, and easy to read. I loved how all three of the listed fruits were clearly displayed as well and made me hungry for the actual fruit. Looking a bit closer, I noticed that a very accurate depiction of a Yuzu fruit was in the center of the three fruits. I at first thought it was a lemon, but the raspberries and passionfruit made it easy to figure out that it was indeed the Japanese exotic fruit.

THE FILL UP

Thanks to the clear plastic bottle, I was able to note the color and consistency of the 60mL of e-liquid. The liquid was a yellow color as canola oil with about the same consistency and clarity. The liquid sloshed around easily within the bottle and I noted that there wasn’t any separation or bubbles, so I wasn’t worried about clogging my coils or burning my cotton.

The bottle did have a child-proof protective seal, but that was easy for me to twist off. The fill tip was slender and although it fit neatly into my fill-port, I guess I squeezed a bit too hard because e-liquid came bubbling out! Once I reduced the severity of my squeeze, the e-juice flowed in easily. I noted that the e-liquid got a bit thicker once in the tank, but it remained the same color and still sloshed around fairly easily. Once I had finished filling my tank, I held the bottle to my nose to observe the scent. I wish I had a perfume that smelled like this e-liquid because it was absolutely incredible. It had both fruity and floral undertones, rich with fruity sweetness and smelled almost like Welch’s white grape juice. I was excited to see what this vape juice tasted like now that I’d gotten a whiff of the scent, so I hit the firing pin and took my first puff.

THE TASTE TEST

I knew the taste test was going to be a bit of a challenge because I’ve never tried or even heard of the Yuzu fruit before trying this e-liquid. I googled the Yuzu fruit to try to get an idea of what it tastes like and the best description I can give you is that it tastes like all of the citrus fruits combined: grapefruit, orange, lemon, and lime. Yet I fell in love with the scent so I hoped that the actual taste of the clouds wouldn’t be a disappointment/

My initial hit of the e-liquid was “wow...that’s delicious. What is that?” The inhale has a light sweetness, but the exhale is where the flavor really comes alive. There was this sharp sweetness that tasted exotic and fruity and extremely sweet. There were definitely citrus undertones in this flavor, almost like the tartness of a grapefruit but the sweetness of an orange, and it intensified moreso on the exhale. Even the clouds were a delight to re-inhale through my nose.

This was one of the first e-liquids I’ve tried that I wasn’t able to distinguish where when flavor stopped and the next one began. Even trying to determine what was raspberry and what was passionfruit was a challenge, let alone trying to figure out what the yuzu fruit was supposed to taste like. But this e-juice has now become one of my favorite fruit vape juices of all time. All of the fruits come together to form this rich and powerful fruit flavor. And it’s a true fruit flavor that tastes authentic and strong and makes me crave the actual real fruits. I went through three tankfuls of this e-juice and I’m about to fill up on my fourth. This vape juice can easily power me through the whole day. I don’t even want to try a new vape juice because of how good this one is. It’s light and sweet on the inhale, but develops into this delicious fruit flavor on the exhale! The trio of passionfruit, raspberry, and yuzu was not overpowering and never lost its flavor no matter how often I hit it. The nicotine hit was wonderfully satisfying and a single hit was all I need to soothe my nicotine cravings. But the flavor was just so clean and refreshing, I found myself taking more hits just to experience that delicious flavor all over again.

FINAL THOUGHTS

I sincerely wish I knew what a Yuzu fruit tasted like and I’m sorely tempted to travel to a country where this is naturally grown. This flavor was a true delight to vape and I loved every hit that I took. The packaging was delightfully designed and very calming to look at. The bottle was clear, the e-liquid was the color and consistency I expected, and the taste was one of the best fruit flavors I’ve tried. For those reasons, I rate this flavor a 10 out of 10. Definitely don’t sleep on this brand of vape juice because as the second one that I’ve tried, Passionfruit Raspberry Yuzu hit a home run! My taste buds were extremely happy with this vape juice and I’ll be very upset when I run out of this flavor. I’m already halfway through the bottle and the flavor keeps getting better with every hit I take. All I can say is Pachamama eLiquids...well done.
