Maple Butter by Coastal Clouds eJuice Review

Attention all breakfast vape juice lovers! Today I have a uniquely named flavor that claims to taste like melted butter and sweet maple syrup: Maple Butter eJuice By Coastal Clouds. A few weeks ago, I reviewed one of the e-liquids from Coastal Clouds called Peach Tea and fell head-over-heels in love with it. I’m hoping that I’ll have the same reaction with Maple Butter eJuice but there’s only one way to find out. Let’s jump right into the review of this breakfast e-juice with the unboxing!

THE UNBOXING

Coastal Clouds recently went through a rebranding where they changed quite a few of their e-liquids names and updated the colors and logos in compliance with FDA regulations. Therefore, the packaging may look different than what I’m describing here, or it may be the same! Whatever the packaging, you can rest assured that the flavor remains the same.

Maple Butter eJuice is one of thirty (you read that right!) e-liquids in the Coastal Cloud lineup, and is one of their best-selling breakfast e-liquids. The e-liquid name is very clearly described as sticky maple syrup with creamy butter. I was very intrigued that the packaging doesn’t show this, but rather displays an ornate jar with a maple leaf on the front. Perhaps this was meant to evoke imagery of expensive maple syrup, but not buttery pancakes drenched in the stuff. However, the entire packaging was very detailed and professionally done. The color on the label and the box was a rich maple that matched the color of the maple leaf on the label.

The company logo is clearly displayed at the top of the box, along with the bottle size (60mL) and nicotine content (3mg) on the sides. The name of the e-liquid is displayed near the middle of the box, with a clear warning (this product contains nicotine and that nicotine is an addictive chemical) located at the bottom of the front logo. I absolutely love the flavor profile listed on the right side of the box, as most companies only provide the description on the actual website. This side of the box also displayed the 70/30 VG/PG ratio, while the back of the box displayed the necessary warnings, ingredient list, age and sale restrictions, and manufacturing information. The bottle has nearly all of the same info as the box, save for the flavor profile and the VG/PG ratio.

On the Coastal Clouds website, Maple Butter is listed for $25, but you can pick it up on our site for only $10.99! Now that we’ve gone over the unboxing, it’s time to fill up the tank and check out what the e-liquid looks and smells like!

THE FILL UP

Maple Butter eJuice comes in a single 60mL dark plastic bottle. I always get slightly annoyed when the bottles are dark because it prevents me from seeing how much e-liquid is left, as well as the color and consistency. But I’ve learned from experience that this is to protect the e-juice from deteriorating in direct sunlight and caramelizing as the e-juice breaks down. The bottle’s hard plastic cap was child-proof but unscrewed easily in my experienced hands. The fill-tip was slim and within a matter of seconds I filled up my tank quickly. I have a bad habit of squeezing too firmly and sometimes my fillups get messy, but this bottle was very durable and I was able to fill my tank without making a mess.

Once the e-liquid was in my tank, I noted that consistency was slightly watery but had the familiar thickness of dessert e-liquids. The color was clear with a slight tinge of yellow (due to the nicotine) and resembled a watery canola oil color. I held the bottle to my nose to see what the e-juice smelled like and was immediately met with a strong and sticky sweetness. The cloying sweetness reminded me strongly of freshly-tapped maple syrup, thanks to the thick and richly flavored scent. I couldn’t wait to try out this e-liquid that had my mouth watering from just the scent alone. Which brings us to my favorite part of the e-liquid review: the taste test!

THE TASTE TEST

Maple Butter by Coastal Clouds is part of the Sweets section in this particular lineup. The Coastal Clouds website likens the taste to sweet maple and creamy butter. Some websites have even gone as far to include pancakes in the description, but that’s not what the official Coastal Clouds website says. With this in mind, I took my first hit. My taste buds were met with a warm and lightly sweet taste on the inhale, much like regular dessert vape juices. On the exhale, there was a thick sweetness that washed over my tongue that was incredibly satisfying. I didn’t immediately taste maple syrup or butter, but before I had a chance to detect those flavors, my nostrils were overwhelmed by the scent of my clouds.

Let me just say that my favorite part of this entire vaping experience was the re-inhalation of the clouds. Sometimes e-juices have a tendency to smell better in the clouds rather than the actual vape flavor. This was definitely the case with the Maple Butte eJuice. The whole room smelled like breakfast pancakes, soaked in sweet maple syrup. If it’s possible to smell a flavor but think you’re drinking maple syrup, that’s exactly how I felt. The scent of maple syrup was so accurate that I immediately started craving pancakes. I was delighted to have such a tasty flavor in my tank and I kept taking multiple hits to bring back that wonderful scent.

The 3mg of nicotine in this vape juice satisfied my cravings, but there wasn’t a strong burning sensation in the back of my throat. Some dessert e-juices have a strong throat hit that sometimes gets hot and uncomfortable, but Maple Butter was smooth and satisfying with every hit. The flavor stayed true no matter how frequently I vape it, never losing it’s strong sweetness or fading into a bland taste that needed to be revamped. I vape three tankfulls of this vape juice and never found myself tiring of the taste or the scent of the clouds. I definitely recommend this as an all-day vape juice.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Maple Butter was a unique flavor that I very much enjoyed, but for unique reasons. The actual taste of the e-liquid was great, but it was the scent of the clouds that truly stole my heart. The thick and immediately discernible scent of warm maple syrup was absolutely incredible. I’ve never had a dessert e-juice that smelled this good and I was blown away by how much I wanted to keep the clouds coming! Because of this, it’s a bit tricky to rate the e-liquid. I’d have to rate the taste of the ejuice an 8 out of 10, while the scent of the clouds is a solid 10. I didn’t really taste any butter, but the flavor of maple syrup was strong, authentic, and pure. Definitely check this out if you’re a big fan of breakfast vape juices that you can enjoy all day!
