Premium eJuice vs. Regular eJuice: What's the Difference?
If you like cheap e juice flavors , should you switch to premium ones? Do the best premium e-juices taste like nothing you've had before? Or are they just a gimmick?
Some vapers believe you get what you pay for. They don't mind paying a dollar per ml because they think they're vaping the best.
Others though are more flexible. They don't mind getting cheap e-juices. In fact, they deliberately look for deals and steals because taste is subjective anyway.
So which camp is right? We'll explain what vendors mean when they say "premium" and compare it regular e-juices.
It's All in the Flavoring
If you're no stranger to vaping, you know that every bottle of e-juice has 4 main ingredients. These include nicotine, vegetable glycerin (VG) , propylene glycol (PG) , and flavoring.
Now, if you're buying the most expensive e-juice, you should know it's not because you're paying for premium VG or PG. It's also not the nicotine content that distinguishes premium e-juice vs. a regular one.
Of course, this isn't to say that an impure nicotine solution or poor quality VG/PG is okay. Poor quality ingredients result in bad e-juices. But then again, you should know enough not to buy your e-liquids from dubious places.
So if it's not the nicotine and not the PG or VG that results in premium pricing, then you can assume it's the flavoring. There are many flavoring manufacturers here and abroad. And they vary a lot when it comes to their offerings.
This means vendors can go super cheap or super expensive with their ingredients. But the problem is they don't have to divulge that information to their customers. That means it's entirely up to vendors if they want to label their products as premium or not.
Other Factors that Drive Up E-Juice Prices
There are vendors who sell vape juices at a premium because they create and mix the flavors themselves. It's still not a guarantee though that you will like their most expensive vape juice offerings. Again, it's a matter of preference.
Other things that may cause vendors to price more are the packaging (glass vs. plastic bottles) and pre-steeping or curing. Glass bottles will, of course, be more expensive than plastic ones. And pre-steeped e-juices taste better than non-cured ones (as many long-time vapers would know).
Are the Best Premium E-Juices Worth It?
Only you could say if the best premium e-juices are worth their high price tags or not. Our suggestion is if you like your cheap e-juices and are curious about premium versions, then give them a try.
This way, you'll know for sure if you're missing out on something great. Or if cheap, but quality vape juices are still it for you.
Of course, if you're going cheap, make sure you're not confusing that with low-quality. Steer clear of e-juices that don't look, smell, and taste right. And always get your stuff from legit vendors.
