Meditation eJuice by Zen Haus Eliquid Review

Meditation eJuice by Zen Haus Eliquid Review

Today we have a special treat for you: we’re going to be reviewing a flavor before it gets added to our site! Kind of like a sneak preview, if you will! The flavor in question is one from a brand you may have heard of before: Zen Haus. Zen Haus is a sub-brand from the more well-known Verdict Vapors. Verdict Vapors has a huge variety of flavors, ranging from nic-salts, menthols, tobaccos, desserts, and of course, fruits! Today we'll be reviewing an e-juice called Meditation, which includes a fruity trio of jackfruit, grapefruit, and watermelon! They also have three other e-liquids that we’ll check out in the next few days, but for now, let’s meditate on the Meditation e-juice as we take a look at the unboxing, the fill-up, and of course, the taste test!

THE UNBOXING

As we mentioned in the beginning, this particular e-liquid is called Meditation by Zen Haus. The Zen Haus logo is clearly stamped across the front of the bottle in bold and playful letters. One thing I really appreciated on the label was the flavor profile was listed directly under the e-liquid name. A lot of e-liquids have quirky names (my all time favorite is Unicorn Puke by Lost Art ! ) that don’t always specify what the e-liquid is supposed to taste like. Meditation eJuice has notes of jackfruit, grapefruit, and watermelon all in one single e-juice. I’ve tried jackfruit in a vape juice a long time ago (Strawberry Guava Jackfruit by Pachamama ) and I remember that there was a very strong taste of jackfruit that nearly overpowered the other flavors. I was curious to see if that would be the case for the Zen Haus version of jackfruit flavored e-juice, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

The 60mL bottle was a dark black plastic that made it nearly impossible to see your e-juice level unless you held it up to the light. The front of the label was a beautiful sunset pink color and showed the nicotine level (3mg) on the right upper corner and bottle size (60mL) on the left upper corner in black letters (You can also get the e-liquid in 0mg or 6mg, but the 3mg version is the most popular). The back half of the label was white with black lettering, stating the warning labels, ingredients, and manufacturing information. I also noticed that the company didn’t list the VG/PG ratio, but a quick check on the company website listed it as 70/30. Meditation eJuice comes as a 2x60mL pack for $24.99, which isn’t bad for 120mL of e-juice.

One thing I was surprised to learn is that the ingredient list mentioned salt nicotine, even though the size led me to believe that this was a sub-ohm tank liquid. Nowhere else on the label did it mention this (or even any of the other sites selling this e-liquid) so once I find out what this means, I'll update the review for you guys! Upon reading through the back label, I noticed that this particular brand only is only for sale within the United States. Many brands are shipped and sold worldwide, so if you’re outside the U.S. reading this, sorry! Now that we’ve gone over the unboxing, let’s crack this bad boy open and see what the fill-up has in store!

THE FILL UP

The slender 60mL bottle comes with a child-proof cap that was easy to open. The drip tip was extremely thin, which allowed me to fillup my tank easily and without making a mess. When I held the opened bottle to my nostrils, I swear I smelled a strong mango flavor, even though mango isn’t found anywhere in the flavor profile. Further inspection of the scent revealed it to be a combination of the watermelon and the grapefruit. Don’t get me wrong, it smelled absolutely incredible. I couldn’t wait to see what it tasted like!

One thing I didn’t like about the bottle was that since the bottle is a black plastic, it’s impossible to see the color or consistency of the e-juice until it was in my tank. Once I filled up my tank, I was able to see that the color of the e-liquid was clear with an extremely light tinge of yellow (probably due to the nicotine) and the consistency was thin and slightly watery. It thickened up once I heated the coil, but I saw no reason to worry that the e-liquid would clog or burn my coils.

THE TASTE TEST

Now the part we’ve all been waiting for...how does this e-liquid taste? The website describes this flavor as “an invigorating blend of grapefruit, watermelon, and jackfruit.” I took my first puff and immediately tasted a strong flavor of jackfruit. I was able to detect the grapefruit in the middle of the jackfruit flavor, which might sound a little weird, but that’s where the grapefruit flavor was. It was very hard to detect the watermelon, since it was combined with such a strong jackfruit flavor, and to be honest, I’m not sure I ever tasted it. I did taste a slightly sour melon flavor on the exhale, so that may have been the elusive watermelon flavor after all. Watermelon is such a light and airy flavor on its own, so perhaps a stronger concentration of watermelon should have been used in this e-liquid.

The flavor was good for the first few puffs, but the jackfruit was so overpowering that I quickly got tired of the flavor. I’m a huge fan of grapefruit and watermelon e-liquids, but the jackfruit was way too dominant in this flavor. My mouth felt dry after a few hits and I found myself taking fewer hits of this vape juice over time. The first few hits were good, but over time it faded into a bland flavor that I looked forward to being rid of. I do think that Zen Haus did an excellent job on the jackfruit part of the flavor, but that particular fruit in the trio was just too strong. If you like the actual jackfruit, then you may very easily fall in love with this e-liquid.

FINAL THOUGHTS

All in all, this was a decent vape juice. I probably wouldn’t vape this e-juice all-day or even use it for repeated fillups, but I had a great fruit flavor that was indeed sweet and refreshing. I was hoping for more of the grapefruit and watermelon flavor, but overall, this wasn’t a bad fruit vape juice. I’d rate it a 7 out of 10, only because the jackfruit was so strong and the slightly sour finish from the watermelon made it a bit undesirable. I also didn’t like how the flavor faded and it made my mouth a little dry after multiple hits. But I have no problem recommending this flavor to lovers of jackfruit and those wanting a change from all of the single fruit flavor vape juices.

There are three other flavors that I still have to try from the Zen Haus lineup, so maybe I’ll find a flavor that I like better. I’m very much looking forward to their Serenity eJuice, so I’ll try that in my next review and let you know my thoughts!
