How to reset a SMOK Priv

If you see the message either ‘Short atomizer’ or ‘Don’t abuse protects’ please stop using the product immediately for your safety.  This can be one of the most confusing problems for SMOK users, but we have a few solutions for if this happens to you. These messages mean there has been a short circuit in the tank or your vape itself.  First check that your coil resistance is not too low, replace the coil if needed. 

It is also possible to reset the tank this might correct the issue. Users can reset the taken by removing it from the vape.  Inspect the tank and vape, ensure the screws are tight, and pressing the fire button. Once that has been complete insert the tank back into the vape and try again. If the problem persists try replacing the tank with a brand new one.

Lastly, plug the unit into your computer and upgrade the firmware. If the problem persists contact the SMOKtech support team for further troubleshooting options.
